OSHAWA, Ont. - The community involvement of students in the Durham College School of Health will be recognized at an awards ceremony held on campus on Wednesday, February 8.
The Durham Access to Care Foundation will present two students enrolled in the Personal Support Worker (PSW) program with an award that recognizes their positive contribution to the local community.
To be eligible to compete for the award, PSW students were required to complete their first semester with a minimum average of 70 per cent, demonstrate a clear passion for the community practice area, and submit a personal letter highlighting their positive community and volunteer activities.
When: Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 10 a.m.
Where: Durham College, Room SW 206, 2000 Simcoe Street N., Oshawa
Parking: Enter off of Simcoe Street North and proceed to the Commencement parking lot.
