Workshop program provides creative outlet for the inner artist in everyone
OSHAWA, Ont. - There's a little creativity in everyone and Durham College's Summer Shorts workshop program is just the place to find it. Hosted by the School of Design and Communication Arts at Durham College, the Summer Shorts workshop program gives young artists a week-long opportunity to work with great tools, practice with studio professionals and enjoy a fantastic artistic experience.
Workshop topics include the annual core program comprised of animation, fine arts, multi-media, movie-making and graphic design as well as new workshops on games, sound design, photography, sculpture, advertising, journalism and public relations. Each workshop is taught by a Durham College faculty member or professional in the field.
The Summer Shorts program is intended for individuals over the age of 13 and runs weekly from July 10 to August 18. A Master Class weekend workshop series is also available for working adults, students or educators with some degree of experience who are looking for a challenging and enjoyable way to spend a weekend.
Anyone who is interested in attending either the workshop program or the Master Class weekend workshop series is encouraged to register early, as limited spots are available.
