Durham College's 2006 Fall Open House set to welcome over 1,000 potential students and parents to campus

OSHAWA, Ont. - For close to 40 years Durham College has given students everything they need to succeed. Next Thursday and Friday, join over 1,000 potential students at the college's 2006 Fall Open House as they find out everything they need to know about getting what they want most after graduation - a job.

Prospective students and their parents, guidance and employment counsellors, and community members will be on hand to meet with Durham College's expert faculty members and deans as well as student services representatives. Attendees will be given an opportunity to tour the campus and learn about the more than one hundred programs and courses offered through the Schools of Applied Sciences & Technology, Business, Career Development, Communication Arts, Continuing Education, Design, Emergency Services, Health & Community Services, Information Technology, Integrated Studies, Justice, and Skilled Trades & Apprenticeship.

In addition, students will learn about the support services available on campus including how to best make the transition from high school to post-secondary education, how to manage a budget, and the exciting opportunities available to them through the college's Student Association, Student Life office, and more.

Thursday, October 26 - 6 to 9 p.m.
Friday, October 27 - 9 a.m. to noon
