Award-winning Durham College Job Connect program holds grand opening for Oshawa/Clarington office

November 6, 2006

OSHAWA, Ont. - Join us Thursday, November 9 for the Grand Opening of the Durham College Oshawa/Clarington Job Connect office, an award-winning employment service that is tailored to meet the needs of young job seekers and the business community. The grand opening follows the move on April 1 from a Job Connect shared delivery site to a full-service employment resource centre.

For almost 10 years, Oshawa/Clarington Job Connect staff members have been delivering employment services and support to youth between 16 and 24 years of age in partnership with other community agencies. They've also provided valuable human resource services to employers. The transition to a full-service site means the Durham College Oshawa/Clarington Job Connect office is now offering even more services to youths and businesses. Find out how this vital service has expanded to better serve the community.

Photo opportunity - Invited guests will piece together an employment services 'puzzle' for mounting on a wall.
